Ponce is undergoing a hotel renaissance. New hotels are being added while existing properties are getting spruced up with new amenities and renovations.
Hotels in Ponce, like in San Juan and other larger cities throughout the island, house major hotel chains at the high-end, moderate and budget price levels.
Outside of Ponce in neighboring towns, visitors will find smaller hotels and paradores such as the Parador Banos de Coamo, featuring hot thermal baths said to have been sought by Juan Ponce de Leon.
