Accommodations include a few very nice, first-class resort properties, although most are small local hotels, bungalow colonies and hostels. Most are clean and well-run. Hotels without restaurants generally offer kitchenettes.
Make reservations as far ahead as possible for the winter months of June-August, when New Zealanders and Australians pack the properties there.
