The state's only zoo, this small facility houses bears, moose, musk ox, seals and other Alaskan wildlife, along with more exotic species, including Siberian tigers and camels. The star attractions are Ahpun the polar bear and Oreo the grizzly bear, who grew up together and lived in the same cage until they began to have roommate issues in the winter of 2003. Oreo has now been placed with a male grizzly bear, and Ahpun is enjoying having her own space.
