This children's museum has hands-on activities that are fun for parents, too. The exhibits on the first floor of the museum were destroyed when a plate glass window gave way to the winds of Katrina, but the museum has since reopened both floors and the grounds. The 6-acre/2.5-hectare grounds, with massive live oaks and play equipment for children, are a great place for a family picnic. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm (Friday till 8 pm).
