Many retail outlets and restaurants accept U.S. currency, and a few offer exchange rates that are competitive with banks. Generally however, you'll do better to get Canadian currency at an ATM, bank or exchange bureau. ATMs are widely available at banks, shopping centers and convenience stores. Banking hours vary but are generally Monday-Thursday 9 am-4 pm, Friday 9 am-5 pm.
