This 11-story pyramid (formerly known as the Melia Turquesa) has been doing swimmingly since trading in its laidback Levis-dressed character for a temperament more in tune with Prada.
Some lawyers might look at this place and see intellectual property theft—it's a W Hotel knock off, right down to the Rande Gerber Bar (See: W Hotel Times Square, New York), but litigation aside, it is a big breath of fresh air on a strand spate with predictable chain hotels.
