Standing four-square over the southern end of Carmel Bay, this grand home and its adjoining medieval-style Hark Tower were built by poet Robinson Jeffers. The labor of love was built between 1914 and 1930. Jeffers and his wife, Una, hosted world-famous bohemians at their cottage home built of river and various other stones they collected on their world travels. It is now a National Historic Site.
