Denver's largest park is a vast 370 acres/150 hectares and serves as an anchor for the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, two lakes, numerous bike paths, elaborate flower gardens and a stately boathouse. Located just northeast of downtown Denver, the area was long crime-ridden, but in recent years commercial and residential development has helped return City Park to its original Central Park-like glory.
