Professional Review
Of Guayaquil's downtown hotels, the Oro Verde is the top-drawer offering. It's quite the grande-dame of the city's establishments, with acres of polished marble and brass combined with an ambience of discrete sophistication. All the accommodations were refurbished in 2007. The hotel might not be the freshest choice on the block, but its location a ten-minute walk from the Malecon riverfront development and the city's rejuvenated heart make it a great choice for travelers.
