What to Wear
Most Varsovians aim for a sharp and stylish image. Even the poorest student is clad in knockoffs of some fashion trend. Men and women should wear suits for business meetings and dinners. Casual dress is fine for later-evening social gatherings. Many people wear jeans, T-shirts or tennis shoes in casual settings. More conservative clothing is appropriate when visiting churches and other religious sites. Pack a winter coat October-late May, and keep an umbrella on hand at all times.
