Just 15 mi/24 km north of the city along Highway 59, you'll find Birds Hill Provincial Park. Birds Hill Park offers camping, cycling and in-line skating paths, excellent wildlife viewing (there are hundreds of white-tail deer who live in the park) and a top-notch music festival (The Winnipeg Folk Festival) held each July.
