Albuquerque Hotel Guide

Guide to Albuquerque Hotels

Albuquerque has accommodations in all price ranges—hotels, motor lodges and bed-and-breakfasts. Although accommodations can be found throughout the city, most hotels are located in the northeast business district, in and around downtown, and near the airport, south of the city. Almost every hotel is located a short distance from Interstate 40 or I-25.

Many properties reflect the southwestern flavor defined by the area's mix of cultures. One special hotel, La Posada de Albuquerque, used to have Hilton in its name. In fact, it was Conrad Hilton's first namesake hotel. Attractively restored to its 1939 luster, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A number of charming bed-and-breakfasts are sprinkled throughout the rural communities off scenic Rio Grande Boulevard—some can accommodate horses and dogs.

Rooms are usually available throughout the year, except during the Gathering of Nations Powwow (April), the New Mexico Expo (the State Fair that runs the first two weeks of September) and the Balloon Fiesta (the first two weeks of October). If you plan to visit during these times, book four to five months in advance.
