Highlights of this complex (it's actually several small museums in two locations) include the Maine Lobster Museum; the Marine Aquarium, where you can listen to the mysterious sounds of the whales; the Lobster Hatchery; the Fisherman's Museum; and the Thomas Bay Marsh Walk, where visitors can explore the flora and fauna of wetlands. The main collection of exhibits is on Route 3 near the bridge to the mainland; in Southwest Harbor, there are interactive exhibits including a touch tank.
