This property is a lively member of the Superclubs all-inclusive group, a middle-grade fun-for-all resort crammed with recreational facilities. This U-shaped beachfront resort contains two accommodation wings and a main clubhouse facing the large pool.
The busy open-air lobby sets the tone with primary colors. A lounge offers board games and comfy beanbag seating before a big-screen TV. The main dining room overlooks the pool and serves good, abundant buffets with champagne and wine service for lunch and dinner. Other dining is in the poolside grill and the more sedate Pastafari, which serves satisfying Italian meals in cozy candlelit surroundings. Garden of Eden offers the same
romantic setting with French cuisine. Both fine-dining establishments require reservations and enforce dress codes of pants and collared shirts for men. Cafe tables surround a large stage set for the nightly cabaret. Cocktails and international beers pour round the clock in four bars, and the very popular disco, open from 10 pm to 5 am, is thankfully situated in the basement. Patent hangover cures are offered at breakfast.
Non-stop organized activities are led by energetic staff who rarely take no for an answer, and there are plenty of billiard and Ping Pong tables. Four pools, a whirlpool, swim-up bar, volleyball, mist fountain and waterfalls front the white-sand beach. Trapeze and trampoline
instruction, a rock-climbing wall, basketball, bicycles, jogging tracks, three lighted tennis courts and non-motorized water sports, such as windsurfing and kayaking, are free. Horseback riding and golf (across the street) exact fees. The gift shop sells snacks and sundries, and meeting facilities include five rooms that can accommodate up to 500 theater-style.
Accommodations are generic and garden-variety in design and decor, and most are kept in fine condition though the air conditioning struggles at times. The far side of the east wing is a quiet zone. Guests approach tiled ground-floor units along acid-green and yellow hallways. Upper hallways are more subdued. Interiors are bright with blue-striped drapes, mostly blond wood furniture, and tropical spreads on one king or two double beds. TVs, phones, CD players, clock radios, coffeemakers, irons, ironing boards and safes are standard. The tiled combination baths come with hair dryers and pseudo-marble counters. Most rooms afford pool or sidelong ocean views. Two bedroom suites have seaview terraces. There are 15 smoke free units, and children under 14 are not permitted.
This high-energy resort sustains a party atmosphere, and proves a satisfactory value for couples without children and single fun-seekers.
