Between West and Lamar streets, this is a 1928 staple in the heart of the business district. The hotel is across the street from the governor's mansion and a stone's throw from the Capitol. Unfortunately, it was gutted in the 1960s and lost most of its character in the process. Guests can enter from the garage or the blue-awninged main entrance.
