Five minutes from George Town, this collection of newly built villas seems more of a neighborhood than a resort. It covers a hilly point bordered by two marinas. Only a limited number of units are available for short-term rental, but more are being added as the project grows.
A fine dining eatery and a beach bar and grill are on the premises.
Golf carts are available to take
guests around the property. A freshwater infinity pool sits at the center of the resort and guests have three beaches to choose from on the 80-acre peninsula. The point is surrounded by coves and cays that offer even better, more private sunning areas. Boat rentals can be arranged by staff, who can have the boat waiting in one of the marina slips when guests arrive. Activities include guided island tours, shopping in town, diving and snorkeling excursions and deep sea fishing. Scooters are available for rent. Guests have access to the Greg Norman-designed course at Emerald Bay. Two lighted Har Tru tennis courts, wireless internet
access, a fitness center and a spa round out the amenities. Guests also have access to the Four Seasons spa.
The villas come with two, three or four bedrooms. They feature wrap-around terraces and balconies with views to the sea. All are air-conditioned and tastefully decorated with professionally designed wood furniture, satellite TVs, CD and DVD players, phones, washers and dryers, and a gas grill. Full kitchens have marble countertops and all necessary appliances, and concierge service can stock them with groceries prior to guests' arrival. Master bedrooms come with four-poster kings with private bath that includes a whirlppol. Secondary rooms have either a queen or two twins.
Guests may equate this to a suburb on the beach. It is, however, a home away from home with personalized service on a par with the Four Seasons down the road—something to be expected at this price.
