This 24-story high-rise along the Allegheny River is slicker than its understated exterior suggests. Considering that this is the largest hotel in Pittsburgh with more traffic than most properties, service also is better than expected.
However, the hotel was in the midst of a major overhaul at inspection, making it a poor (read: noisy, inconvenient) choice until all of the work has been completed—sometime in spring 2009.
