This hotel once hosted such figures as the Shah of Iran and Queen Elizabeth. Those days are past, but this faded beauty still has her charms, though these seem to be diminishing year by year. The biggest draw here are the 15 acres of tranquil garden grounds, punctuated with trees and bursts of bougainvillea and birds of paradise, providing travelers with a true respite from the busy town and dusty streets of Oaxaca.
