Lima offers a wide range of accommodations suitable for every budget. The majority of hotels are concentrated in just a few areas. The cheapest hotels, sometimes quite seedy, can be found in the city center, but you will also find several large, posh hotels. This area is dangerous at night, and the majority of travelers who stay there go for quick access to the airport.
Most tourists stick to the tourist hub of Miraflores, which is home to the majority of hotels and visitor amenities. There you will find everything from luxury resorts to dorm-style backpacker hostels. The general quality tends to be good compared with other Third World countries. The best and most luxurious hotels can be found in nearby San Isidro, many of them set near the colonial olive grove, Parque Olivar. Miraflores is home to the only hotels with views of the Pacific. No accommodations can be found on the beach.
