MOCA has three locations: the main building at California Plaza (downtown), the Geffen Contemporary and MOCA at the Pacific Design Center. MOCA has one of the country's best collections of contemporary art (after 1940), with a strong emphasis on abstract expressionism and pop art. More than 20 revolving exhibits are shown annually, with large-scale temporary exhibits at the Geffen Contemporary. The museum's cafe at California Plaza, Patinette, offers food with a hint of Mediterranean flavor. Note that museum locations may be closed during exhibit installations. Open Monday and Friday 11 am-5 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday closed, Thursday 11 am-8 pm, Saturday and Sunday 11 am-6 pm. Admission price includes all locations: US$10 adults, US$5 students and seniors, free for children younger than 12, free for everyone Thursday 5-8 pm. Admission to MOCA at the PDC is free.
