Los Olivos, California, is a small, charming and historic town located in the Santa Ynez Valley (about 10 minutes from Solvang). It is surrounded by expansive vineyards and horse ranches.
Beyond wine tasting, Los Olivos is known for its eclectic shops and art galleries, epicurean restaurants, antiques and intimate day spas. Many of the residential buildings downtown date back more than 100 years to when the town was served by a stage line and the Pacific Coast railway.
Mattei's Tavern, built in 1887 by Felix Mattei, is an old stage coach stop turned restaurant. At Brothers' Restaurant there you can dine on superb cuisine while catching a glimpse into the pioneering spirit and hospitality of the Old West.
