The modern-looking Melbourne Museum houses six levels of exhibits on Australia's flora, fauna and Aboriginal culture. Highlights include Bunjilaka, a cultural center for the Aboriginal Koori community; the Forest Gallery, with more than 8,000 trees and plants; the Science and Life Gallery, which explores digital technology and biodiversity; the Australia Gallery, which houses the remains of Phar Lap, a Depression-era racehorse; and the Children's Museum, which has activities and exhibits on natural history.
