This is the city's largest park, consisting of almost 470 acres/190 hectares. Royal Park is designed to be a native bushland reserve. It contains a garden of Australian native plants and is a popular site for bird-watching. There are also several sporting facilities within the park, including the State Netball Hockey Centre, the Royal Park Golf Course and numerous sporting fields.
