Facing the site of the former World Trade Towers, this hotel occupies a soaring black glass tower that looks like it is in perennial mourning. Unlike its somewhat staid neighbor, the Marriott New York Financial Center, this Hilton displays a bold, upbeat style that appears hopeful and hip at the same time. After all this hotel has been through (it was sprayed with debris when the Twin Towers collapsed, and as a result it was closed for over a year), it is a miracle that it still exists. Unlike t
