Nova Scotia offers a wide variety of accommodations, ranging from fine resorts to historic inns, bed-and-breakfasts, hotels, motels, tourist homes, vacation farms and campgrounds. Expect major hotels in Halifax and Sydney, with private and chain motels, and a wide assortment of charming inns and bed-and-breakfasts elsewhere. Be aware that some properties are seasonal. Resorts in Nova Scotia offer secluded beaches, a cozy atmosphere in lodges or cottages, fireplaces, fresh seafood and nearby boat cruises. Many of the top resorts have recently added spa facilities in spectacular settings. There are three provincial "Signature Resorts"-the Digby Pines, Keltic Lodge and Liscombe Lodge. All are near salt water and have dining rooms, spas, nice views, tennis courts, nature trails and golf.
