Once a barren, sparsely populated strip of coast, Nusa Dua is now one of Bali's—and the world's—most luxurious beach resorts. Accommodations are lavish, expensive and sheltered from the outside world, which includes the rest of Bali.
Air-conditioned shopping centers, lagoon-sized pools, complete sport facilities and a golf course are Nusa Dua's other attractions. The disadvantage of Nusa Dua accommodations is that one could stay the whole time there and never get a true taste of Balinese culture. However, the hotels can organize trips to the nearby temples and craft villages.
