Opposite the Temple of Jupiter and a large park pocked with ongoing archeological excavations, the hotel is a 10-minute walk from Syntagma Square and the Acropolis. Once a drab and dated commercial hotel, the Royal Olympic Hotel came to a new life following a radical renovation, completed in 2006. An enviable central location and friendly service make it a viable alternative to the more expensive American chain hotels in Athens such as the Athenaeum InterContinental or the Marriott Ledra Athens.
