Sacramento has a full range of accommodations, from luxurious bed-and-breakfasts such as the Sterling Hotel to fine business-oriented hotels such as the Hilton and the Radisson. The city's top property is probably the Hyatt, which has excellent views of the Capitol. The
Delta King, a converted paddle wheeler, is a fun place to stay but is also a good choice for business travelers, with excellent service and better midweek rates than the other downtown hotels. Nearly all downtown hotels are within walking distance of Old Sacramento and the state Capitol.
On Memorial Day weekend, when the Jazz Jubilee takes place, hotels fill up early, so make reservations well in advance or plan to stay several miles/kilometers from downtown.
