Created by architect Julia Morgan in 1907, the Fairmont Hotel underwent a major restoration of both public areas and guest rooms, and much of its original and grand design was restored, including marble columns and gold trim. The Laurel Court in the opulent lobby serves afternoon tea 2:30-4:30 pm, accompanied by harp music on Saturday and Sunday. The traditional Nob Hill Tea is least expensive and a favorite.
