Located on top of a hill overlooking pine-covered mountains, this pleasant town has colonial architecture and a large cigar factory that is open to the public. Santa Rosa is also known for its colorful Semana Santa (Easter Week) celebrations. The town has some comfortable hotels and makes a good base for exploring Western Honduras. 125 miles/200 km northwest of Tegucigalpa.
