Accommodations range from the Solomon Kitano Mendana Hotel (in Honiara) to small, locally run thatch-roofed huts and basic hotels and guesthouses. Small resorts have been built on tiny islands near Gizo and Munda, and these offer both privacy and convenience. We highly recommend staying in a variety of accommodations, as even the simple ones are usually clean (and what they lack in conveniences, they make up in atmosphere). Camping is not recommended.
