Downtown St. Louis offers plenty of hotels, and most of them, especially those with a view of the riverfront, fill up early for the Fair St. Louis celebration on the Fourth of July, the Big Muddy Blues Festival on Labor Day weekend and on weekends when the Cardinals are in town.
As an alternative to hotels in downtown St. Louis, the luxury hotels in the thriving suburb of Clayton attract many leisure and business travelers (just 10-15 minutes from downtown St. Louis). Additionally, airport hotels are close to a Metrolink station and offer an easy commute into the city.
