The handiest location is, of course, the city center, where businesspeople and tourists frequent the same hotels. If you look elsewhere, you'll find choices to suit most any budget, and there is no neighborhood in particular to avoid. But because Stockholm has become a very popular destination for both business and pleasure, we suggest you book at least two months in advance whenever possible. Bed-and-breakfasts are still rare in central Stockholm. Youth hostels are very affordable, open to all ages and usually very comfortable.
