Tampa has a variety of hotel properties located throughout the city. If you plan to spend most of your time at Busch Gardens amusement park and Adventure Island water park, you may want to select a hotel in the North Tampa area.
If you prefer to be close to the water, choose a Westshore property.
Downtown hotels are best if you're in Tampa on business or if you plan to spend time at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, the Florida Aquarium or the Henry B. Plant Museum. Downtown properties are also close to historic Ybor City, with its abundant nightlife and array of restaurants.
Note that downtown hotels are often booked a year in advance for Gasparilla, the city's annual winter festival. Some hotels also fill up during spring break, when local attractions and theme parks often see record-breaking crowds.
