Just before you reach Bali's Nusa Dua enclave, a finger of land juts off to the north. Along this narrow peninsula is a nice strip of sand lined by international four-star hotels, dive centers, parasailing and Jet-Ski operators, and beach restaurants.
Across the Benoa Bay, reachable only from the Sanur side, is Benoa Harbor. Hydrofoils leave from Benoa Harbor for Lombok Island and for beachside resorts on nearby Nusa Lembongan, where there's lodging and nice spots for diving and surfing. The trip takes about an hour and a half.
