This small city, surrounded by red, gold, pink and orange walls, is a nice place to stop—particularly if you're traveling between Agadir and Ouarzazate.
Its medina is easier to negotiate than the one in Marrakesh, and it offers almost as much variety of street life. Shopping there is also good, especially for metalwork, Berber jewelry and carpets.
55 mi/85 east of Agadir.
