Located at State Street, one block from Grant Park, built in 1871, this is the oldest hotel in Chicago, and it claims (as do a dozen others) to be the longest continuously running hotel in North America. The Omni Parker House in Boston, which opened in 1855, makes the same claim. Nonetheless, this is a grand old dame with lots of history.
