This refined roost for the world's rich and famous sits in a stellar location towering over Fifth Avenue. Balanced at the top of the ranks alongside the Four Seasons, Mandarin, New York Palace and Ritz-Carltons, this hotel puts the p in expensive. Much like the wares hocked on Fifth Avenue, the only real difference between this hotel and the latter is taste—Gucci, Armani, Chanel, Ferragamo—it's all the same when the logos fall away.
