It's primitive, so take your own sunblock and other supplies, but it's worth any nature-lover's time. Visitors hiking several miles/kilometers of trails can encounter wildlife such as gopher tortoises, white-tailed deer and bobcats. There's also a wide variety of trees and plant life. The county-owned sanctuary preserves a 393-acre/159-hectare tract of old Florida. The Addison Canal runs through the property, which is bordered by natural wetlands. Guided tours are available.
