The art collection of Armand Hammer, who was an industrialist and philanthropist, includes paintings by Rembrandt, Goya and some impressionists, as well as drawings by Leonardo da Vinci and prints by Daumier. Since the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) took over management of the museum, it has shifted its temporary exhibits to focus more on contemporary and under-represented artists. In addition, the museum hosts a slate of free music, dance, film, lectures and other programs. The bookstore carries 10,000 titles on design, art and architecture, including many rare finds. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 11 am-7 pm; Thursday 11 am-9 pm; Sunday 11 am-5 pm. US$5 adults, US$3 seniors and UCLA alums, free for students and children age 17 and younger. Free admission on Thursday. Parking is available under the museum for US$3 for three hours with museum validation. 10899 Wilshire Blvd., Westwood Village.
